Participation in Gilbert Chandler Youth Football & Cheer provides kids an opportunity to perform in an organized, supervised, safety-oriented environment. Our cheer program emphasizes fun for all and encourages the development of qualities essential to life like teamwork and commitment. Good sportsmanship is a highest priority for us at GCYFC.

The participants in the GCYFC program are unique as opposed to those of other programs. While we teach the skill of sideline cheerleading, we also help develop confidence and aspire to gain skills at an individualized level. We have been named National Cheerleading Champions and we salute all the efforts and accomplishments that our participants put forward!

In general, our season runs from July until November. We practice and learn new skills twice a week, usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm until 7:30pm. We attend a game on Saturdays to cheer on our leagues football teams!

Times and locations of games and practices are subject to change. We make every effort to make things easier on the parents or guardians of children who are enrolled in both football and cheerleading.

Price of registration ($250.00 for the 2024 season) includes the use of cheer uniforms, two sets of pom poms, two hair bows, practice and game day field expenses. White cheer shoes, white socks and bloomers are not provided but required. All players are insured during practices and games through GCYFC insurance. All players are required to complete a physical before the season starts.
